Who can access my data?
You. You. And only You! When you use MyDataRx your files are
encrypted on your computer using 448-bit Blowfish encryption and
then transferred to the MyDataRx servers using 128-bit Secure
Socke Layer (SSL) encryption.
How secure is this service compare to
tapes?
Our service is much more secure than tape backups.
MyDataRX.com encrypts your data before it leaves
your machine. Many tape procedures don’t encrypt the data,
allowing for foul play if the tape ended up in the wrong hands (ie.
disgruntled employee, competition, etc...). Our service also
moves your data off-site faster. Because your data is secured to
an off-site vault, there’s also no need to worry about changing
tapes or the tape running out in the middle of a backup.
